Are you ready to make a meaningful, lasting, and positive contribution to the lives of our youth and young adults? Do you have the desire to share your expertise and empower the next generation of leaders? Then the IN Network needs you! We welcome interns from diverse skill sets and professional backgrounds to apply their expertise to careers in national security. Our primary goal is to educate young people about the endless and exciting career opportunities in this field. We need interns to deliver courses, host workshops and seminars, provide IT and administrative support, organize fundraisers, write grants, and much more.

Internship Requirements

  • YOU MUST BE A  U.S. CITIZEN OR RESIDENT TO APPLY 

  • This is an unpaid 10-week internship with a commitment of 10 hours/week.

  • There are THREE separate internship tracks available this fall (Operations, Development, and Engagement). Please only apply to ONE department. 

Fall 2026

  • Internship Start Date: Monday, September 21st, 2026

  • Internship End Date: Monday, November 30th, 2026​​​

Application Process

  1. Fill out the attached Application Form (see below)

  2. The IN Network review committee will notify applicants of a decision to move forward

  3. A video or call interview will be conducted

  4. Candidates will be informed of the final decision from the review committee

  5. Intern Orientation & Team Welcome
