March 2026 Intelligence Brief

Written and edited by two of our Spring 2026 Interns, Camila Espinal and Nicholas Snider. This brief provides an analytical overview of key global security developments during March 2026. This brief reflects an increasingly unstable global security environment as well as a benchmark in scientific innovation. Conflict escalation in CENTCOM, followed by a series of failed diplomatic negotiations, has consequently resulted in an increasingly volatile global energy market that has reverberated with economic pitfalls worldwide. In SOUTHCOM, the complete collapse of Cuba’s energy infrastructure following the United States’ economic sanctions has led to a significant fuel shortage that has resulted in an ongoing humanitarian crisis.
