Student Voices
This section will highlight our student intern articles on three topics:
1. Policy/Issue Brief – Provides a clear, neutral overview of a proposed policy or public issue and explains its relevance to inform our audience. The focus of this article will be on explaining the policy/issue clearly and accurately. This is an opportunity for interns to explain a policy to a general audience, helping them better understand what it means and how it could affect national security.
2. Thought Leadership – Provides original analysis on a national security issue and examines its broader implications, including how it may ultimately affect U.S. national security.
3. Government Response – Provides and analyzes a proposed policy with a reasoned response that considers its implications, affected populations, and broader strategic interests. This article will move beyond summary and demonstrate analytical judgment from a government or policy decision-making perspective.
